In 2003, after spending 13+ years as a Senior Accountant for various Property Management and Real Estate Development Firms, Lisa left Corporate America to enter the Insurance Industry and took her unique skills of translating numbers and data from the Board room to the consumer. Lisa has owned and operated Healthsource NW since October 2004 and her husband, Kim Lettenmaier, joined the agency in 2017. Together, with the help of an amazing staff, Lisa and Kim assist consumers in purchasing individual health plans and making the transition to Medicare insurance. Lisa has held leadership roles on several boards including: • National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors: State and Portland chapter • Women in Insurance and Financial Services: National and Portland chapter • Financial Planners Association: Portland Chapter Lisa is a current member of the following professional associations: NAHU – National Association of Health Underwriters NAIFA – National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisor |
As Manager, Product and Market Development for Moda Health, Theresa Barney plans, manages, and coordinates activities with a focus on market and corporate growth in current and future markets as well as develops the strategy for the future of Moda’s individual and family offerings. Theresa has over 32 years’ experience in various aspects of the health insurance industry. With a focus on client and producer relations, her wide-ranging experience allows her to see obstacles and opportunities for a wide array of business needs including operations and risk management. |

John Lenz
CLU, ChFC, CFP
John entered the life insurance business in 1981 and has spent the last 42 years as a producer, General Agent and Managing General Agent. He earned his Chartered Financial Consultant and Chartered Life Underwriter degrees from the American College and is a Certified Financial Planner. John is President of Lenz Financial Group, a Simplicity company in Portland and a founding member of US Annuity Partners. Lenz Financial employs 12 people who specialize in the design and underwriting of life insurance, annuity, and long-term care insurance with 30 companies for more than 1,000 agents and financial advisors across the country.
John is a past member the board of directors of the Oregon and SW Washington Financial Planning Association and past board chair of Insurance Designers of America, a national insurance marketing organization with 54 offices nationwide. John has been an expert witness in a nearly 30 arbitrations, mediation, civil and criminal legal cases involving annuities and life insurance products.
John has presented continuing education Law and Ethics courses for CFPs and licensed insurance agents monthly for the past 15 years.
