NAIFA OREGON 2023 SPONSOR STATEMENT ABOUT: The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors – Oregon Chapter (NAIFA Oregon) is a professional organization of individuals whose business purposes are centered in the insurance and financial planning industry. Our purpose is to promote education and the professional development within our membership, promote a positive legislative climate for our clients (consumers) and agree to and abide by a code of ethical standards professionally. NAIFA Oregon currently has just under 200 licensed members working in the financial services profession. We also have an associate membership level to make it possible for currently non-affiliated insurance related professionals to benefit from the education and career development programs that NAIFA Oregon provides. Our total membership represents thousands of Oregonians who look to them for their insurance and financial advice. PROGRAMS: NAIFA Oregon will hold 2 major event this year for members as well as non-members: Day on the Hill and Springfest. We also hold a virtual monthly Legislative Update meeting. Our regional areas statewide hold regular educational meetings throughout the year in the interest of keeping all professionals current on insurance products, estate planning, legislative issues, retirement planning and professional practice elements. NAIFA Oregon also holds networking, social and recruitment events to help members stay connected and provide an opportunity for these professionals to interact with the group. Sponsors of NAIFA are welcomed and urged to attend, exhibit and present. All financial advisors and insurance professionals are invited and welcome to attend these regional events. NAIFA Oregon’s database of these professionals includes over 7,000 licensed associates. ADVOCACY: NAIFA Oregon employs a lobbyist to provide support and assist with navigation of legislation and action forming both in and out of session. NAIFA Oregon has been active in helping to shape many bills over the years to have more positive results and less unintended consequences. Many NAIFA Oregon members are their legislators’ go-to experts for insurance and financial planning matters pending discussion in the Oregon Legislature. ETHICAL CONDUCT: Each member and associate member agrees to abide by a code of ethics which is monitored by the leadership of the association. MORE: NAIFA Oregon member groups around the state focus on community service and set aside monies for scholarships and local charity support. Returning sponsors who have presented education to NAIFA Oregon in the past will have an automatic entry in the NAIFA Oregon Speaker’s Bureau which can be accessed by NAIFA event planners to set up meetings. All Partners are invited to submit their speakers and topics for consideration into the Speaker’s Bureau.
