Andrew Stolfi
Director and State Insurance Commissioner
Department of Consumer and Business Services
Andrew R. Stolfi is the Department of Consumer and Business Services director. He is also the state’s insurance commissioner. He joined the department in February 2018 as Division of Financial Regulation administrator and insurance commissioner and was appointed DCBS director in April 2020.
Previously, Andrew worked in Switzerland at the International Association of Insurance Supervisors in a variety of roles, including chief operating officer and chief counsel. He held various senior management roles at the Illinois Department of Insurance, including acting director, chief of staff, and special counsel for policy and legislative affairs.
His legal background includes serving as attorney and policy analyst in the Office of the Governor of the State of Illinois; judicial law clerk for the Honorable Thomas E. Hoffman in the Illinois Appellate Court, First District; and a special assistant corporation counsel for the City of Chicago Law Department.
He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont and a law degree with honors from Chicago-Kent College of Law.

In 2003, after spending 13+ years as a Senior Accountant for various Property Management and Real Estate Development Firms, Lisa left Corporate America to enter the Insurance Industry and took her unique skills of translating numbers and data from the Board room to the consumer. Lisa has owned and operated Healthsource NW since October 2004 and her husband, Kim Lettenmaier, joined the agency in 2017. Together, with the help of an amazing staff, Lisa and Kim assist consumers in purchasing individual health plans and making the transition to Medicare insurance. Dr. Kim Sherman, JD PhD

Education, Environmental & Estate Law, LLC
Kim specializes in special education and disability rights for students as well as in developing estate plans, special needs trusts, and guardianships and conservatorships. Kim also works with landowners to protect their wild or natural property with conservation easements or in legal action when a property owner's trees are illegally cut or damaged.
Kim has been involved in local environmental issues since the early 2000’s when she held a Wildlife Habitat Improvement Program (WHIP) grant and restored 20 acres of oak forest in Polk County. Kim has degrees in Speech & Communication (BA, Cal State Northridge) and Education (Masters, University of Hawai'i), a PhD in Special Education from University of Oregon, and a JD from Willamette University, where she was awarded a Sustainable Environmental, Energy, and Resources Certificate.
Prior to being admitted to the bar, Kim served as an elementary and middle school special education teacher, faculty at both Western Oregon University and the University of Oregon, education specialist at the Oregon Department of Education, and project lead in the statewide assessment for students with significant disabilities in Alaska. Additionally, Kim served as the Director of Student Services (Special Education) for Central School District 13J and as the assistant director for the University of Oregon's school administrator licensure program.
Kim is licensed to practice law in Oregon and Washington.
